The Bowl is stamped with the Model number 235, “GI 830 S” the mark used by Georg Jensen between 1915-1930, “Georg Jensen” used from 1915-1927, Copenhagen, the year 1919 and the Swedish import mark GABF and a freestanding crown. In 1904 the Danish silversmith Georg Jensen founded his first modest silver smithy in the heart of Copenhagen. Thirty years later, he had made an international name for himself. When he died in 1935, the New York Herald Tribune saluted him as "the greatest silversmith of the last 300 years.
