Details and Condition: Nut shaped base with fluted top covered in a multi toned brown matte glaze, probably designed by Eva Staehr Nielsen. The base is marked 67, the Saxo Yin-Yang symbol encircled, two dots (turner Egon Thomsen) and Saxo Denmark I. This mark was used by Saxbo in the period from 1949-1968. Saxbo (1930-1968) is now widely recognized as one of the finest independent ceramic workshops in Scandinavia with a wide and far ranging influence on several generations of ceramicists.
