Details and Condition:: Pipistrello lamp designed by the multi-talented Italian designer Gae Aulenti in 1966 for Martinelli Luce, Italy. The name Pipistrello is Italian for "bat" and this lamp - with its undulating surface - resembles that winged mammal. A telescopic system in stainless steel allows to adjust his height (66-86 cm). The lamp has become one of the classic icons of 20th Century Design. And is part of the permanent collection of museums all over the world, among others, the Museum of Modern Art and,the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
