Details and Condition: : Khmer Sandstone head of what is most likely a representation of Buddha mounted on museum stand. Buddha is depicted in a combination of Hindu and Buddhist style. Buddha is wearing a diadem (ornamented crown) similar to that normally worn by Vishnu with the intention to portray Buddha as a powerful universal monarch in keeping with the contemporary images of Hindu gods.
