Details and Condition: Dinner plate from the Flora Danica series made by Royal Copenhagen. The plate is marked with the model number 624, Royal Copenhagen stamp with a bar below the O for production year 1963, SJX and arx the artist painter (unknown) and the name of the plant (Crysanthemum Leucanthemuma). The plate is hand painted on a pearl patters with gold rim. Flora Danica one of the world's most exclusive dinner service. Work on Flora Danica commenced in 1790. It was commissioned by the Danish Royal Household as a gift for Tzarina Catherina ll of Russia. However she died before the dinner service was finished, and is has therefore always been in the possession of the Danish Royal Family. The original service is a national treasure.
